Don’t name it a flavored tequila: YaVe is “naturally infused” with jalapeno, mango, or coconut — along with un-infused blanco and reposado impressions. Based by Joe Cruz Jr. in New York Metropolis, the model is constituted of a mix of Highlands and Lowlands agave (100% agave, naturally) and a proprietary yeast pressure and is produced with out components (except for what’s used within the infusions, in fact).
We acquired the Jalapeno expression for evaluation, so let’s dive into it.
YaVe Tequila Jalapeno Evaluation
There’s no scarcity of peppery jalapeno on the nostril, although the tequila by no means comes near feeling overbearingly scorching and spicy. Inexperienced and natural, the jalapeno is a gradual construct, although it hides any overt agave notes from the beginning. Secondary aromas of vanilla and a few brown butter add a contact of fragrant sweetness.
The palate doesn’t diverge, with a barely candy presentation of contemporary (not pickled) jalapeno and a gently grassy high quality that ensures any warmth is saved largely at bay. The peppery notes are totally manageable, with the underlying agave solely barely extra seen right here. The general presentation nonetheless is kind of refreshing and energetic, with a crisp and cleaning end.
70 proof.
