King of Kentucky has introduced a 2026 launch: King of Kentucky Small Batch.
This limited-edition assortment celebrates the 250th anniversary of america and the creation of Kentucky County, Virginia, which grew to become the State of Kentucky. King of Kentucky, created in 1881, is known as in honor of thoroughbred horse racing. Brown-Forman has owned the model since 1936 and revived it in 2018.
“For years, I’ve held onto these uncommon, aged barrels, ready for a second important sufficient to share them,” says Chris Morris, Brown-Forman Grasp Distiller Emeritus. “To have a good time the founding of our nation with a whiskey of this caliber seems like the proper tribute.”
For the primary time, King of Kentucky introduces a three-batch collection, every bottled at a definite proof to showcase the complexity of its ageing course of:
- Batch 1: 105 proof
- Batch 2: 107.5 proof
- Batch 3: 110 proof
Every batch is a mix of barrels aged 12–18 years. Some barrels had exceptionally excessive angel’s share, with simply 16% liquid after years of evaporation.
Distillery-provided tasting notes are as follows:
- Batch 1 (105 proof): Candy aromatics of chocolate, caramel and toasted marshmallow balanced with dried apricot and clove; clean oak and toasted coconut on the palate.
- Batch 2 (107.5 proof): Darkish fruit notes of dates and fig layered with caramel and charred oak; minty with hints of vanilla.
- Batch 3 (110 proof): Wealthy chocolate and brown sugar brightened by citrus and pine; daring oak and spice on the palate.
King of Kentucky Small Batch might be out there in restricted portions for a prompt retail value of $299 per 750-ml. bottle, in choose markets nationwide.
This launch differs from the normal Single Barrel expression, which is able to proceed yearly within the fall. The Small Batch collection was crafted on the historic Brown-Forman Distillery in Shively, KY (DSP-KY-354).
