With the summer season upon us, this can be a nice pretend away recipe and ultimate for the BBQ or an alternate for normal hamburgers, it is usually appropriate for vegetarians.
Components
For the burgers
250g/9oz jar chickpeas (drained & rinsed)
1 medium onion, very finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, crushed or finely chopped
2 tsp floor cumin
2 tsp floor coriander seed
6 tbsp chopped parsley
½ tsp chilli powder
2 rounded tbsp plain flour
1 tsp salt
Oil for deep fats frying
For the hummus and tahini sauce
125g/4½oz hummus
2 tbsp further virgin olive oil
1-2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp tahini
To Serve
4 giant rolls (or burger buns)
1 tomato, sliced
1 crimson onion sliced
4 little gem lettuce leaves
Methodology
Drain the chickpeas totally and pulse within the meals processor till calmly damaged up.
Add the remaining substances and proceed to pulse till you could have the feel of coarse breadcrumbs. Gently kind into patties. Fry in scorching oil for 4-5 minutes, or till crisp and golden.
For the hummus and tahini sauce merely whisk collectively all of the substances. If you happen to choose a lighter sauce add a little bit water till it’s the popular consistency.
