Chicago-based Giordano’s is commemorating the fortieth anniversary of town’s 1985 soccer season with the launch of Da Pizza. The limited-edition pie is loaded with pork and beef, meatballs, pepperoni and giardiniera, based on a press launch.
The pizza is accessible now via Feb. 9 and will be ordered in Giordano’s Stuffed Deep Dish, Conventional Skinny Crust or the brand new Tavern-Model. For dine-in friends, the deep-dish “’85 Model” incorporates a particular contact, the quantity 85 stenciled in parmesan cheese on prime, paying homage to the historic 12 months for town’s hometown heroes.
The model has partnered with Chicago tight finish Cole Kmet for a social collaboration.
“Chicago’s love for soccer and pizza runs deep, and we needed to create one thing that celebrates each,” Nick Scarpino, CEO of Giordano’s, mentioned within the press launch. “Da Pizza captures the guts of that championship spirit — it is indulgent, daring, and one hundred pc Chicago.”
The pizza was crafted by Giordano’s culinary group.
“I’ve created this pizza with Chicago soccer followers in thoughts,” Jesse Harris, government chef of Giordano’s, mentioned within the press launch. “It’s the excellent match on your playoff catering wants.”
Giordano’s has 60 areas throughout 9 states.
